This is a slightly emotional post. Emotional I say because it touches my heart every time my P saves something for me to eat coz it’s the last bit. I had made cake and was serving it to some guests and taking out a portion for her too. And she realised I hadn’t taken out a piece for myself. She was like “Why are you not eating?” Although there was enough cake , the ice cream to go with it was over. So I told her so and she said “so you ARE going to get more ice cream for yourself and eat it tomorrow right?” Like in an authoritative tone. I assured I would and she bounced off with her plate.

Once before she even saved some tamarind chutney for me because only a little was left 😃. Isn’t it adorable when your kids start thinking about you? When I’m sick or something she really doesn’t care that much. She’s not the kind who will come and ask me how I am doing. Or if I’m feeling ok. But she notices these things now and makes sure I don’t give up anything to eat just because it’s not enough. She will give me a little from her portion.

My little A is different. If I’m sick, she will ask me a million times in the day how I’m feeling. And every morning will be the same question. “Are you feeling better than yesterday?” Almost as soon as you fall sick she will make you a get well soon card. And they keep coming everyday till you’re not well. I’ve saved them all.

We spent the December holidays at home coz me and husband were both sick. But during that time even if P dint physically take care of us, she made sure A dint disturb us. She kept her busy and this was actually the first time I saw them bonding this way. 🤞🏼

Enjoying this till it lasts. I can only hope that teenage doesn’t hit my girls hard and take away their innocence and caring attitude.
